Sunday night, while feeling bold and crazy, I took off to visit our friends in Oshoto, WY. If you've never heard of it, don't worry, no one else has either. It's about a two and a half hour drive so we pulled in at around 10:30 pm. We met Jared and Sarah on the very first day we arrived in South Dakota - five years ago next month. Since then we've had five kids between us a spent dozens of days at each others houses. They invited us to come up and visit and it couldn't have been at a better time. The three days we were there were by far the quickest days for me since Matthew left. It was wonderful just to be able to hang out and visit and laugh and just plain ol' have a good time. We thank God for their friendship. Unfortunately, I showed up with a dead battery in my camera so I only got a few pictures. If only you could have seen Logan and Akayla spitting on the worm, or four kids riding all at the same time on one very tiny 4-wheeler. But, alas, these will have to do....
The princesses at play.Coloring time, orchestrated by Monica - it went surprisingly well=)
Here they were stacking up according to age, Alana missed her spot but was trying her hardest to get back in....By the end of this year our kids will be the following ages - 16, 13, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, and 0! And in case any one is counting, there are two more days=)
